Hasmig
Seropian is the founder and principal of Technology For Humans (TFH),
a ten-year-old Silicon Valley consultancy focused on the process of turning
high-tech ideas into products that mere humans can understand, learn,
and use effectively. She holds a doctorate in linguistics and cognitive
psychology from UC, Berkeley. She brings to her work the benefits of
seven years of research at UC Berkeley and Stanford University and twenty
years in the computer industry. Her industry work extends from the development
of the Apple Macintosh in the early eighties to the design of a pen-based
notebook PC in the early nineties to the market creation for interactive
television at Hewlett-Packard and numerous Web sites and Web-based applications
most recently. Her process is anchored in a user-centered methodology
devised to produce both efficiency in interaction design and an optimal
user experience.
As the need arises, Technology For Humans calls upon a number of associates
that include marketing strategists, information architects, researchers,
visual designers, multimedia producers, Web production specialists, usability
specialists, learning products developers, copywriters, and technical
writers.
